For contributors

Your voice. Your data. Your dividend.

Africa's Voice is a cooperative. When you record in your language, you earn money — and you become a co-owner of the data corpus your voice helps build.

Common questions

Is this safe? What happens to my recordings?+

Your recordings are stored securely. They are only used to train AI systems that you have agreed to support. You can withdraw consent at any time, and your data will be deleted from future training datasets.

How do I get paid?+

Through OPay, PalmPay, or direct bank transfer. Payments arrive within 48 hours of your recording being accepted by our quality team.

What kind of recordings do I make?+

Mostly natural speech — answering simple questions, reading short passages, describing your day. Sessions are 15–20 minutes. You record in your own language, your own voice, your own home or wherever you choose.

What does it mean to be a cooperative member?+

It means you legally co-own the dataset you helped build. You receive a share of every commercial dataset sale, paid as a quarterly dividend. The cooperative is registered in Nigeria under the Co-operative Societies Act.
